How fast can I get the first manual?
A typical 50-device project publishes in about an afternoon - bulk-import the register from a CSV, drop in drawings and certificates, pull in your saved contacts, and publish. If your files are messy or you are short on time, ask us for a hand getting set up.
What files do I need to send?
Whatever you already have from the job: the device register or spreadsheet, drawings, commissioning and test certificates, warranties and datasheets, as-installed photos, contacts, and your logo. You do not need everything to start - begin with what you have and the manual flags what is still needed.
My register is a mess - can you still use it?
Yes. Send the spreadsheet as it is - there is a CSV template to match, and the importer normalises the columns into the register. You then add photos and notes, and it auto-builds the device schedule in both the online manual and the PDF.
Can my customer open it without an account?
Yes - that's the point. They scan the QR code or tap the link and the manual opens, no login, on any phone.
Do I get a PDF I can keep?
Yes. Every published version produces an immutable, branded PDF - cover page, table of contents, the device schedule with photo thumbnails, and your documents. You can export everything - all files and the PDFs - in one click.
How much does it cost?

I only have one handover - what is the cheapest way?
Build and preview the whole manual for free. When you are ready to publish, subscribe to the Professional plan for a month, hand over the QR manual and PDF, then cancel any time. Your manuals stay readable for a 12-month grace period and you can export everything - all files and the PDFs - in one click. A month on the plan is cheaper than paying for a one-off manual, and it keeps the handover hosted and searchable.
Is it safe to hand over a manual by QR code?
Yes - and you decide how open it is. Every manual is private by default and never indexed; the link behind the QR is unguessable, rate-limited, and instantly revocable. For sensitive sites, switch to 'Named users only' so it opens only for invited, signed-in people. As a rule of thumb, keep raw passwords out of the manual itself.
Can I brand it with my own logo and colours?
Yes - your logo and accent colour apply to both the online manual and the generated PDF, so the handover looks like it came from you, not from us.
Do you do as-builts or chase my subcontractors?
No. We are not a CAD or drafting service and we do not chase your subcontractors for paperwork. We take the files you already have and turn them into a clean, accessible handover manual - the documentation, not the site work.
Does it help with the golden thread / Building Safety Act?
It gives you one accessible, version-controlled home for a building's O&M information that's easy to hand over and keep current. It isn't a compliance product and we make no Building Safety Act compliance claim: compliance is far broader than documents. We help you keep the record straight, but we don't replace your obligations.
What happens to my manuals if I stop using it?
